Ryuta Amazume is a true manga veteran and possibly one of the most recognized ero-comedy artists in modern history. A
 comic artist since his college days, Amazume broke through in the world

Best known in the West for his long-running mahjong political parody THE LEGEND OF KOIZUMI, Ohwada actually made his debut in 1999 on the baseball comedy FUN KOSHIEN. Since then he has contributed in nearly two dozen series, mostly for Kadokawa Publishing. While Ohwada may be best known for his sensational genre work in the West, he is respected across Asia for his passion for the Gundam franchise. In 1978 animation director Yoshiyuki Tomino set forth to change 
the Japanese animation industry. For decades prior, Japanese science 
fiction had churned out numerous tales of semi-autonomous robots that 
would often come to the aide of humanity, but as someone who worked on a
 number of those works, Tomino came to the realization that he wanted to
 see a more realistic robot narrative. His vision was one where the 
robot while just slightly more human in appearance, was utilized more as
 a tool manipulated by man. With renowned artist Yoshikazu Yasuhiko by 
his side, and occasionally as his artistic rival, Tomino would change 
the way the whole world came to see Japanese animation and the broader 
toy and comics industries built around it. This evolution would be a war
 in its own right! Battles were fought in the offices of the animation

KamenTotsu is a unique talent within the world of manga. The author made his debut more as a columnist and media critic, drawing his columns within a comic format. With time he moved on to drawing essay comics and eventually moved to the world of children's manga. KamenTotsu is also unique as he was raised in the United States. He grew up in Michigan and would eventually return to Japan to attend the Nagoya University of the Arts.

Up-an-coming comic artist Shunsuke Sorato is best known for their work on THE GIRL WITH THE SANPAKU EYES. Originally a webcomic on twitter, the series would eventually be picked up by SquareEnix's pixiv service and then released in print. Sorato has previously worked with Kadokawa drawing mostly shorts revolving around high school romances and unrequited love. Their most recent series NATSUME AND NATSUME is being published by MicroMagazine.

Moto Hagio (1949-) was born in Fukuoka, Japan and is widely considered as one of the pioneers of modern shojo 
manga (girls manga).  One of the most beloved Japanese comic artists of all time, and has penned dozens of works over a wide range of genres throughout her nearly fifty year-long career. 

Easily one of the most critically recognized comic artists over the last few decades having won a number of awards, Hagio's works challenge concepts of gender and humanity. In the realm of science-fiction is a three-time winner of the Seiun Award, the Japanese equivalent of the Hugo Award. In 2006 she took the Japan SF Grand Prize for her fantasy title OTHERWORLD BARABARA (Fantagraphics). And in 2022 she was recognized by San Diego Comic Con International as she was admitted into the Eisner Award Hall of Fame.

A national treasure in Japan, in 2019 Hagio was recognized as A Person of 
Cultural Merit by the Japanese government.

Best known for his work within the eroguro (erotic grotesque) genre, he has penned dozens of books for a range of mostly indie comic book publishers. The shorts found in Super-Dimensional Love Gun, like his previous release Dementia 21 (Fantagraphics), are examples of the "fashionable-paranoia" genre he founded. The genre mixes visually driven story-telling with shockingly violent themes to create equally dark and humorous narratives.
